Good Morning Seoul

It’s 1:00am on Saturday here in Seoul and I’m wide awake.

The fact that I’m up at this hour is not at all strange since that’s about my normal bedtime, but today it’s actually because I passed out earlier than usual following dinner last night — my routine thus far in Korea has been waking up at 2:30am and trying to figure out what to do with my jet-lagged self.

Land of the morning calm indeed.

With Rhyme Bus & ClaZZiQuai playing in the background, I’m gonna offer up some quick first impressions as I sip my 바나나맛 우유

…well, it’s actually Sunday morning now — I passed out before I could get to my impressions but I’m happy to report that I’m back on a somewhat normal sleeping schedule, just in time for the start of a new week.

Yesterday, after paying a visit to the Commissary in the morning, we went out to explore the city for the first time since our arrival. So instead of talking about my impressions (more on that later in another post), I’m just gonna let the pictures do the job:

  1. Wow, love the photos! Looks like you and your family are settling in very nicely! I love Korean food and you are so lucky to have it around you all the time for the next two years. If you ever start to grow tired of your favorites, just think of those of us who will likely not be able to get any good Korean food for at least the next two years…
